Easter Egg Hunt
Come to the Trail's End Club Sunday, March 23 for an Easter Egg Hunt! Hunts are at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
AGE GROUPS:
1 and younger: 10:05 a.m. & 1:05 p.m.
1 - 3 years: 10:20 a.m. & 1:20 p.m.
4 - 7 years: 10:35 a.m. & 1:35 p.m.
8 - 12 years: 10:50 a.m. & 1:50 p.m.
Choose the time that is right for your Easter plans! All times are approximate.

Youth Center
The Youth Center will keep your kids ages 5 - 12 busy during Spring Break, Mar. 24 - 28. Kids can participate in arts and crafts, physical fitness, cooking projects, science projects, and community services activities. Limited slots available. Call 773-2564.

Teen Center
Teens! Come to the Teen Center during Spring Break, Mar. 24 - 28, 4 - 11 p.m. for swimming, archery, a picnic and much more. First day is free! Call 773-2564.

 

Give Parents a Break Program
Is your spouse deployed or on a remote tour? Are there other personal concerns that could be eased by a little time out from the kids? The Air Force Aid Society sponsors a Give Parents a Break Program GPAB is held at the Child Development Center (CDC) for ages 3 months - 5 years and the Youth Center for ages 6 - 12 years. Get a referral slip, register your child at the CDC and make a reservation no later than the Monday prior to the GPAB date. Referral slips can be obtained from a commander, first sergeant, chaplain, Airmen and Family Readiness Center, Family Advocacy, Mental Health, Youth Center or Child Development Center. Proof of the child immunizations must be presented at registration. To learn more about the program call the Child Development Center at 773-3221.

Master's Team Play Tournament and Open House

The Master’s Team Play Tournament is April 12 and is stroke play with handicap.
Sign up as a single or a foursome.
Draw a Tour Pro playing at the Master’s as your partner! The cost is $20 with annual pass and $30 without.
Visit the golf course April 12, 9 - 11 a.m. during the Open House and representatives will be on hand providing information on couples and ladies leagues, squadron Intramurals, golf lessons, pro shop sale and more. Call 773-3556.

 

Teeball Registration
Teeball registration for kids ages 5 and 6 is April 1 - 25. The cost is $40 per child and includes uniform and awards.
A mandatory parent’s meeting is April 30, 6 - 7 p.m. at the Youth Center. This meeting is to inform the parents about all concerns involving the league. Games, uniforms, practices, and coaches will be discussed.
A coaches training meeting is April 15, 6 p.m. Discussion items include practices and coaches certification. The training will certify all coaches by NYSCA. This training is required in order to coach in Air Force Youth Sports programs.
Practices will be held at the Youth Complex located behind the Youth Center.
Season begins the second week in June and will run through the third week in July. The entire program last for approximately 10 weeks.
All baseball and teeball participants and their family members are invited to the post season banquet in August.

American Red Cross Babysitting Class
April 14 - 16, 4 - 8 p.m. Cost is $45. Register and pay by April 11. Must be 12 years of age or older. Learn fundamentals of babysitting, Infant & Child CPR, and First Aid with a certified instructor. Location: Family Child Care Office, Bldg. 1200. Call 773-3510.

Snowy Range Ski Trip March 29
Snowy Range is open daily throughout March and will close for season this last weekend. Let ODR take you there for one last run! Lift tickets are $27 and a 1-day ski rental is just $9 (snowboards $15). Children’s equipment/lift ticket rates available for ages up to 12 years. Transportation is $12 per person. Trip departs ODR at 7 a.m. and returns approximately 6 p.m. Call Outdoor Recreation at 773-2988.

Warren Mini Triathlon
Start preparing for the Annual Warren Mini Triathlon May 31. It will consist of a 500 yard swim, 12 mile bike ride and 2.5 mile run for teams and individuals. Awards will be given for the fastest times. The cost is $30 per individual or $45 per team. Call the Aquatic Center at 773-3195. Family Night

April 12 – Ride the Greenway
Break into the bike riding season gently and tour Cheyenne’s own Greenway bike/walking path that meanders 21 miles in and around the Magic City. We’ll provide the bike and helmet or bring your own. Cost is only $10 for those renting a bike. Have your own bike? Cost is only $5!

April 19 – Paintball
Spring has sprung so let the paint fly! Sign up in 5-person teams or as individuals and have some fun! Price includes paint marker, first hopper (200 ct) of paint, endless Co2 and safety equipment. We’ll begin play at 8 a.m. and go until all teams are eliminated. Additional paint available for pre-sale or on-sight. Cost is $15 per person.

Car Seat Safety Check
Come to the Family Child Care parking lot, 1105 Wyoming Ave. April 5, 10 a.m. - noon for a Free Car Seat Safety Check.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently reported that up to 82 percent of infant car seats are installed wrongly, increasing the risk of severe injury or mortality if an accident occurs.
Studies conducted by transportation authorities in Canada and the U.S. show that four of every ten children are not riding in their car seats correctly. Call 773-3317.

April 5 – Steamboat Springs Ski Trip
Steamboat says “Thank You” to those who serve by offering a week of free skiing for military ID cardholders (including retirees). Make the deal even sweeter by letting us do the driving. Transportation is $33. Equipment rentals available through ODR.

Rent a Jump House!
Only $85 a day or $175 for the weekend. Need us to deliver, set up and pickup? We will do that for an additional $55!
Outdoor Recreation also has two pavilions available for rent, 20 x 30 party tents and 6’ tables to accommodate all of your party needs. Reservations on pavilions, tents, and bouncy houses can be made up to 30 days in advance with credit card security deposit. Call 773-2988.

April 8-9 – Bike Maintenance Workshop
With the winter snows behind us, it’s time to bring out your trusty eco-friendly bike and get it in tip top shape so it can work to get you in shape too! This 2-day/4 -hr workshop will cover basic bike maintenance including flat repair, brake pad replacement, cleaning and lube and derailleur adjustments. Bring your own bike or use one of ours. April 26 – Geocache Trek
A modern day treasure hunt using GPS coordinates will lead you to the cache at the end of the rainbow! Get out and enjoy the spring weather and let our experienced guide show you how it’s done.

4-H Skill-A-Thon
Kids ages 5 - 18 are invited to the 4-H Skill-A-Thon April 23, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. at the Youth Center. Kids may explore a variety of booths for various 4-H programs including dog training, scrapbooking, cake decorating, entomology and photography. Call the Youth Center at 773-2564.
