TRADITION, ESPRIT DE CORPS,
dedication, sacrifice, integrity and pride are the traits of a professional member of the
U.S. Air Force. The members of the 90th Space Wing Honor Guard at F.E. Warren AFB
represent the elite of U.S. Air Force professionals.
The
Honor Guard provides support for parades, retreats, changes of command, distinguished
visitors, weddings, ceremonies and posting and retiring of the Colors. The most visible
and lasting impression provided by the Honor Guard are the honors given to deceased who
have honorably served their nation. Providing Military Funeral Honors is the primary
mission of the Honor Guard. The honors rendered at memorial services and funerals provide
not only a final tribute to the deceased, but also a soothing, healing time of remembrance
for families and friends. The final presentation of the flag that draped the casket is a
solemn act of recognition and remembrance by a grateful nation for dedicated service and
sacrifice. |
