The Airman and Family Readiness
Center (A&FRC) is located at 7601 Randall Avenue. Hours of
operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
They offer many programs to support single and married
active duty military, guard, reserve, DoD civilian
employees, retirees, and all family members.
The A&FRC has two resource rooms available for use. Clients
may use computers to access internet, accomplish on-line
banking, type resumes, perform job searches, etc. The
resource rooms also contain a vast collection of literature
to assist clients with all aspects of the military
lifestyle.
The School Liaison program assists base leadership and
command with key parent and school concerns, disseminates
school information to military families, and informs school
personnel on issues relevant to the military member’s school
attendance including transition and deployment. The center’s
Readiness NCO assists deployed members and their families
and includes Hearts Apart morale calls, Hearts Apart social
groups, Give Parents a Break childcare, Car Care Because We
Care, video phone, free calling cards, and supervisor
training covering deployed troops.
The Career Focus program area assists members and their
families with resumes, job searches, skills improvement
classes, and annual career fairs. The Transition Assistance
program provides pre-separation counseling and hosts a three
day Department of Labor transition assistance workshop for
members separating or retiring.
A Personal Financial program helps members and their
families with financial issues to include debt management
and investment opportunities. The Air Force Aid Society (AFAS)
provides financial assistance for unexpected travel
emergencies, dental and medical expenses, and also supports
programs such as Bundles for Babies and respite care. AFAS
utilizes Operation Warmheart to assist in emergencies not
covered by AFAS policies.
The Information and Referral program coordinates and
provides local and nationwide information to assist families
in finding needed resources for resolving problems or
issues. The Relocation Assistance area helps members who are
arriving or departing the installation and includes programs
such as 90th Wing Right Start, Military Spouse Orientation
Tours, sponsorship training, Kids Move Too and Smooth Move,
Child Care for PCS, and maintains the Military HomeFront
website for F.E. Warren AFB.
The Family Life Education program coordinates the Key Spouse
Program and assists families with work and life issues and
also interfaces with on- and off-base community resource
agencies in support of the military family.
F.E. Warren has an impressive loan closet and Airman’s Attic
programs. The Loan Closet loans free of charge household
items for those members in a PCS status or for permanent
party households. Loans range from 7 to 30 days. Hours of
operation are Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Airman’s
